Together, we can

Advance Women’s Education And Research

Soymas Foundation is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

We advance education and research to unlock opportunity for women—fueling impact in Latin America, the U.S., and beyond.

Education

We support programs that advance women out of poverty and lack of knowledge—such as Soymas Chile —through vocational training, entrepreneurship pathways, and biopsychosocial support.

Research

We study the systemic issues that keep women in poverty—lack of financial literacy, women’s health, barriers to career equality, and more—so we can build solutions that change the future.

Our Story

Soymas Foundation was born from the vision of social-impact leader Barbara Etcheberry, who saw that empowering young mothers required more than charity — it demanded education, opportunity, and research. What began in Chile as a holistic program helping women break cycles of poverty has now grown into a U.S.-based foundation that funds education today and studies systemic barriers for tomorrow, building a bridge of knowledge and opportunity that can transform lives across borders.

A bridge between Chile & the U.S.

Chile: Facing over 150,000 young mothers in vulnerable situations, Fundación Soymás provides wraparound care — education, mental health, childcare, job training, and community resources — and has already helped 1,700 women build brighter futures.

The U.S.: Through fundraising, program creation, and research, Soymás Foundation amplifies this impact, turning evidence into scalable solutions and giving more mothers the tools to break cycles of poverty.
